My life-long mission is to make people smile :)

Nemo and Lucky

I have uploaded new photos of our dog Nemo and Lucky the rabbit. Lucky seems to know that Nemo will not hurt her, after all Nemo was the hero, saving her from attacking cats.

Secure Password Generator

How many times do you find yourself thinking up a new (and secure) password, and end up using a simple word that can be found in a dictionary or one with a slight modification of your previous one?

First video of the cute rabbit

In my previous blog I talked about the rabbit that was most probably dumped by someone and was found by our dog. After two days, it's already showing signs of getting better.

I promised some pictures of it, but what is so much better? A moving picture! The following is a very short video of the rabbit. By the way, the rabbit is a 'she' and we have decided to call it 'Lucky'. After all it was luck that brought Lucky to us!

Dog found cute dumped rabbit

While my dad was walking the dog, it noticed a scared rabbit near a tree, hiding from a waiting cat nearby. This rabbit is quite tame and from what I have researched on the Internet, it is of the domestic type and not wild.

Finally back to work

After two long weeks quarantined due to illness, I'm glad to be back at work with my collegues. Having to stay confined to the bed and T.V. is not something to look forward to. At least on Discovery Science I managed to watch the complete documentary about NASA and its missions (incl. failures) which was very interesting.

When robot programmers get bored

Sometimes working in a factory working as a robot programmer gets a bit boring, and in this video it shows what some geniuses will do during the weekends to have some fun.

Photo Albums and Internet Explorer are now friends

I spent a couple of minutes going through the CSS Styles of the Photo Albums, as well as the pwa.js javascript file.

With a combination of modifications in both files, mainly removing the hard-coded styles in pwa.js and adding unique class attributes to the dynamically built HTML part of the code, I was able to make all the links display correctly in Internet Explorer.

Photo Albums Added

Finally I managed to find a neat solution to embed my Picasa Web Albums. Well, probably I would not be correct if I used the 'embed' word as I did not exactly embed my albums.

I have found an excellent little open-source javascript file called pwa.js which parses through the user's Picasa Web Albums RSS Feed, then displays the Albums on the page in an HTML table.

Tons of modules make everything tick

If you want to do something new in Drupal, you will probably not find any specific module that does just what you want. You will need to install several generic modules, then use their in-built functionality to construct your new requirement.

It's like building with Lego blocks - can be fun and irritating at the same time if your patience is at its limit already.

Image Resizer Filter for Drupal is working

Today I managed to get the Image Resizer module working which completed my Drupal Create/Edit content solution using a WYSIWSYG editor, an image uploader, and an Auto Image Resizer.
