Plans are made to be broken by the swine flu

I had made plans for today to go to Palermo in Italy. My friend who is a pilot asked me to accompany him and a few of his friends for a fun day trip on 4-seater aircraft.

It was also an excellent opportunity to try out my new Canon Digital SLR camera. I was looking forward to photograph the scenery from the aircraft which provides good views from its larger sized windows, as well as having a whole day of photography practice in Palermo.

Coincidentally, my sister went to Sicily for a two week holiday, so she arranged to be in Palermo today with her Italian friends. We were going to meet up and go have a pizza at a good restaurant.

Unfortunately all the above was not going to happen, as the Swine Flu caught me off guard, I was quarantined and had to cancel everything.
